Stew Bolno built his career in leadership and management by learning it, doing it, and teaching the subjects during his work career.  With over 30 years as a management consultant and seminar leader, he has helped countless professionals sharpen their own leadership skills. 

As a young man Stew was a buyer and manager at New York City department stores, well before the days of e-commerce. He was principal of his own retail store and publicly acknowledged with the honorary title of “Mayor” by the community, for his activities in organizing other merchants in the area.  He served as an adjunct professor multiple times; he’s most proud of teaching courses in leadership and sales for the Wharton SBDC.    

He was elected and re-elected as President of his condo board and played a leadership role in his local Toastmasters chapter.  Most significant was Stew’s selection as “Team Builder of the Year”;  awarded to him from by a world-wide distribution network of more than 3,000 independent consultants. Stew earned both of his master’s degrees by attending graduate school in the evening, while working full-time — a testament to his energy level, self-discipline and commitment.

In the political sphere, Stew has followed presidential leadership closely since Eisenhower. He was a party-selected candidate for Congress. He’s presented speeches to political clubs, and authored scores of essays on leadership and politics. His varied blend of business, education, and politics justifies his unique perspective, as well as legitimacy, in authoring his book on leadership.
